Emmanuel Udotong is Co-founder and CEO of Shield, the banking and payments platform for importers, exporters and wholesalers. Shield has processed $600M+ in volume across the US and Latin America and is backed by a16z crypto, Giant Ventures, Kraken, MoonPay, and angels from JPMorgan, American Express, Bank of America, and Coinbase.
Emmanuel is a Princeton graduate. At McKinsey & Company, he built risk and compliance programs for a $200B commercial bank, the discipline behind Shield's compliance-first approach. He started Shield with his brother Isaiah and his college best friend Luis Carchi after facing firsthand how slow, costly and inaccessible cross-border payments can be for trade businesses. He received the Princeton Science and Technology 25 Under 25 Innovation Award.
